Plain sRGB gradients between complementary colors often pass through a muddy grey in the middle. Switch on perceptual smoothing and PaletteKit interpolates in OKLCH, adding intermediate stops so the gradient looks smooth in every browser, plus the modern in oklch syntax for browsers that support it. The snippet includes a solid fallback color.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my gradient look grey in the middle?
Mixing two colors across the color wheel in sRGB passes through low-saturation values. Interpolating in OKLCH keeps lightness and chroma steady, which removes the grey band.
Can I download the gradient as an image?
Yes. Download a 1920×1080 PNG for wallpapers, slides or social posts. It is drawn in your browser.
Is PaletteKit free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no account, no watermark and no sign-up. Copy codes and download exports as often as you like.
Are my images and colours uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Photos you extract colours from and palettes you save never leave your device.
Can I use the colours commercially?
Yes. Colours and colour codes cannot be owned by us, and anything you create is yours to use in client work, apps, print and branding.
