Brand kit

Give each color a role and save it as a brand kit with ready-made CSS tokens.

Lock your brand color and press the spacebar: PaletteKit finds its opposite hue in OKLCH and builds lighter and darker variants of both so the palette works for real interfaces, not just posters. Use one color as the dominant and the other sparingly as an accent; an even split tends to vibrate and tire the eye.

Private by design

PaletteKit has no server-side processing. Colors, palettes and images stay in your browser; saved palettes live in local storage on this device only.

Frequently asked questions

What is the complementary color of blue?

On the traditional RGB color wheel it is orange or yellow-orange. In perceptual OKLCH, the opposite of a typical blue is a warm amber.

Is PaletteKit free?

Yes. Every tool is free with no account, no watermark and no sign-up. Copy codes and download exports as often as you like.

Are my images and colours uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Photos you extract colours from and palettes you save never leave your device.

Can I use the colours commercially?

Yes. Colours and colour codes cannot be owned by us, and anything you create is yours to use in client work, apps, print and branding.
