Brand kit

Give each color a role and save it as a brand kit with ready-made CSS tokens.

Accessible palettes need real lightness differences, so this page starts in shades mode, spreading one hue from very dark to very light, which guarantees several AA-passing pairs. Switch the harmony rule for more variety and keep an eye on the pair matrix. Then check any specific pair in detail with the contrast checker, including APCA.

Private by design

PaletteKit has no server-side processing. Colors, palettes and images stay in your browser; saved palettes live in local storage on this device only.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a color palette accessible?

Enough lightness contrast between text and background colors (4.5:1 for body text under WCAG AA), and not relying on color alone, such as red versus green, to convey meaning.

Is PaletteKit free?

Yes. Every tool is free with no account, no watermark and no sign-up. Copy codes and download exports as often as you like.

Are my images and colours uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Photos you extract colours from and palettes you save never leave your device.

Can I use the colours commercially?

Yes. Colours and colour codes cannot be owned by us, and anything you create is yours to use in client work, apps, print and branding.
